don’t judge people before you truly know them

A young man in his late twenties, looking out from the train’s window, shouted, “Father, look at the trees! They are going behind!”

The young man’s father smiled and nodded at him. A couple sitting nearby, looked at the young man’s childish comment with pity.

Suddenly, the young man shreaked again in excitement, “Father, look at the clouds! They are all running with us!”

The couple couldn’t resist and asked the old man, “Why don’t you take your son to a good doctor?”

The old man smiled and said, “I just did, and we are just coming from the hospital. My son was blind from birth and he just got his vision today.”

Each and every person in this world has their own unique journey. They have their own daily struggles and challenges, and without actually knowing them and learning about their life, you never truly know what they’re going through.

Judging others and creating a story about them in our own minds is an indicator of our own lower nature. When we judge other people, we don’t define who they are, we actually reveal who we are on the inside.

It’s best not to judge a book by its cover. If you do so, you might just miss out on an amazing story. You might just lose an opportunity to gather some life-changing perspectives.

As the popular quote goes, “Every single person in the world has a story. Don’t judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.”

Transform your judgment and criticism into love and acceptance. Don’t become prey of ignorance, instead become curious and open-minded. As you do that, you’ll know the real stories of people’s lives and in this process, learn some invaluable insights that will take your life and your consciousness to the next level.
