Companies and advertisers like to weave a faux reality around us. After all, it’s in their best interests. They want us to believe that there’s a better world out there and we have access to it only if we buy their product or service. It taps into our human psychology of believing that the grass is greener on the other side.

They conjure up a void inside us that turns into a black hole of consumerism. Instead of getting carried away, we can attune to the contentment within us knowing that what we have is enough. Just a tiny shift in our mindset can bring true abundance in our lives, not the false one that we all run after.
