focusing on the five values

focusing on the five values

Minimalism in its core essence is living a meaningful life and when we focus on the five values — namely health, relationships, passions, growth, and contribution — we set up ourselves for success. We need to strive to be the healthiest version of ourselves. We need to assess the quality of our relationships and let go of the ones that add little to no value to us or our life. We need to equip ourselves with the knowledge and wisdom that helps us distinguish between work, career and passion, and detach our identity from our jobs or our titles. We need to work towards growing and improving ourselves every single day so that we don’t stagnate and fall behind. We need to learn to be givers and work towards causes that resonate with us and add value to other people’s lives.

Since most of us will gravitate strongly towards two or three out of the five values listed, it’s important that we also learn how to balance these values into our life. As we start living an intentional and aligned life based on these values, we enrich our brief limited moments on this planet with happiness and satisfaction and are able to attract success that truly resonates with us.
