The journey of a year, and to zoom out a bit, of a decade is coming to an end. And it’s time to honor it.
I’m sure there was not a single soul who didn’t have ups and downs. Each of us had times where we experienced exhilaration, accomplishment and excitement, and occasions when we felt sad, lost and confused.
As the journey of the past year and the last decade draws close, now is a good time to cherish both the highs and the lows. Cherish all the places you lived in and visited, all the people you met and spent time with. It’s time to say goodbye to some, and cherish the ones who bring love and joy to your life. It’s time to go through the lessons you’ve learned and honor them, along with the people and circumstances that helped you learn them. It’s time to look back at the photos and remember all the different junctures that you were in.
Take a few moments to look back and reflect in peace. All parts of your journey were important, sacred and had a divine purpose. I’m sure there’s some deeper part of you that believes that.
Honor the journey and its ending, and know that there’s still a long way to go. Although the end is here, it’s also a new beginning.
Have peace in your heart as you go to sleep tonight; be grateful for the journey and let it go. And when your eyes will open tomorrow, a new adventure will await for you.
