life is change, change is life

life is change, change is life

“Whatever the nature of the whole does, and whatever serves to maintain it, is good for every part of nature. The world is maintained by change—in the elements and in the things they compose. That should be enough for you; treat it as an axiom.”

— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 2.3

Whenever we encounter a change in our lives, often we have resistance to it. Because we’re not sure certain if that change is happening for good or not, we run away or hide from it, or plainly ignore it. However, if you deeply understand the workings of the Universe, life, and nature, you will realize that life is nothing but change and everything is in constant flux.

As Rhonda Byrne writes, “Everything is energy, and energy is in continual motion and change. If energy stood still, you would be gone, and there would be no life.”

Nothing or no one that exists in nature, including us humans, can be harmed by change. It’s wise to remind ourselves that change is always happening for the good of you and for everyone.

Change is inevitable, and instead of resisting and fighting it, we must accept it willingly. After all, it is the sole reason behind the existence and the evolution of life.
