mutual annoyance

As we form and forge our relationships, it’s important that we consider other people’s wants and needs. We, humans, have a strong internal responsibility to be loving and caring. It’s who we are. But in this process, we need to stay away from becoming a people pleaser.

Being genuine and authentic is an important component of building trust in both our professional and personal relationships.

People pleasing always backfires. Not only do other people get annoyed with us, many times we get annoyed with ourselves as well when our pleasing behaviors and efforts fall flat and don’t yield us the outcomes that we want. When we distance ourselves from our true selves, it gets difficult to access the happiness within us.

The best way to build comfort and trust in our relationships is to be considerate of others but ultimately please ourselves.
