We all get attached to something or someone in our lives. Being attached is human nature, but once we understand why our brain prefers attachment over detachment, we are better able to steer ourselves from the seductions of our everyday society and choose freedom over being imprisoned by our desires.

Attachment, unfortunately, is the cause of our suffering as well. We suffer more because the more things and people we get attached to, the more we start being burdened by worries, anxieties, resentment, and other negative emotions.

When we get attached to things external to us, we start getting identified by these things and objects. We lose vision of our higher purpose and deviate ourselves from living our truth so that we can satiate ourselves with the comfort and fulfillment of the desired objects. When we get more, we want more.
