the three wise monkeys
I’m sure you would have seen the three wise monkeys and read the proverbial principle that they represent:
See no evil.
Hear no evil.
Speak no evil.
What this maxim also means is:
See only good. Hear only good. Speak only good.
A tough, if not impossible, challenge for all of us humans for sure. But something worth pursuing to live a simple, positive, and peaceful life.
Those three wise monkeys definitely knew how to protect themselves from negativity in order to keep the virtuousness within them alive and kicking. The question is: Can we strive to be as wise and disciplined as those three monkeys?
