India is overwhelmed with the second wave of this catastrophic disease, and this is a remarkable opportunity for all of us, no matter where we live, to practice effective altruism and give with a generous heart.

There is a desperate need to support the exhausted health infrastructure, breaking under the pressure of the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than 300,000 recorded cases every day – higher than any other country at its peak – the health system is on the brink of collapse.
