watch something funny

Do you feel stressed, overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious or down sometimes? It’s nothing unnatural, we’ve all been through a lot this year. But if you’ve been experiencing these negative emotions consistently, then it’s a sign that you need to hit the pause button. Just unplug and take a break.

Something that can be useful to you to relax and rejuvenate — and I tell you from my personal experience and countless others’ — is reserve some time in your daily schedule to watch something funny. This may sound a simple thing on the surface, but it’s incredibly powerful.

Laughter is the best medicine. Comedy is the best drug. Just put on your favorite sitcom, stand-up comedian, skit or cartoon in the evening time and sit back and enjoy it. Even if you watch 10-20 minutes, it’ll work wonders for you, trust me.

Smiling and laughing makes you feel lighter and more relaxed. It lifts your spirits and boosts your mental and physiological health. So, whenever you feel anchored down by the daily struggles and challenges, just watch something that makes you laugh. It’ll help you see the lighter side of life and give you an instant reboot, so that you can take on life again with a refreshed perspective.

PS: I’ve been watching Young Sheldon regularly these days and I highly recommend it, especially if you enjoy science and the good ol’ Texas vibe.
