You have the power—look within
I watched Masters of the Universe in the theater yesterday, and had a good time. It was a fun ride, and I definitely recommend it for both kids and adults who are young at heart.
The story, presentation, and visual effects were decent, and the best part was that the movie didn’t take itself very seriously. But yes, there were a few inspiring messages conveyed as well.
Like He-Man (Prince Adam), we don’t need a special sword to become powerful; we all possess incredible power within ourselves. In today’s world, we all seek power in the external world: wealth, social status, luxurious homes, high-tech cars, supercool gadgets, and a high position in the office, to name a few. But in truth, we don’t need those symbols to feel mighty and strong. Like He-Man, we ourselves are the vessels of remarkable, otherworldly power.
We don’t need to become someone or something to exude magnificence. As humans, we are perfect as we are. There’s no need to look outside; we already are everything we’ve always aspired to be. We have just lost track and forgotten our abilities while navigating the intricacies of the modern world.
Sure, we must continue pursuing the lifelong journey of betterment, but the chief aim is not to develop ourselves so that we become a new and different person—a man or woman we hardly recognize. Nope, that’s not the endgame. The ultimate goal is really to discover our innate potency and who we truly are. To eliminate all facades and dependencies and become who we are meant to become.
So get back up and stand tall. And never forget, you truly have the power. You’ve always had!
