Your aim must be to design a compelling story that amazes others. So, start thinking of yourself as the main character in your own life story. Have a proper structure for your narrative so that it includes a beginning, a midpoint, and an ending. Moreover, make sure it contains the motivations i.e. the Whys behind your key actions as well as the turning points that defined your journey up until now.

Keep in mind that all powerful stories have a key ingredient in them: pathos. Pathos essentially refers to the act of getting the audience on your side by evoking their emotions. People are hard-wired to enjoy stories about struggle, whether it relates to a person or their professional pursuits. The human brain is always inclined to make meaning out of hardship and adversity. Therefore, we find humble beginnings and rags-to-riches tales quite fascinating. In addition, research suggests that we remember stories more accurately when the aspect of struggle is woven into them. And so, it’s safe to say that pathos is an indispensable and incredibly potent element in communication. When we emphasize the heroic pathos by incorporating a difficulty that we have faced and surmounted to get to where we are today into our narrative, we inspire people to start rooting for us and our undertakings.
