choosing extreme ownership over denial

When it comes to eliminating addictive behaviors, the best starting point for us is acceptance. We need to take ownership of our attachments and addictions, and all the mistakes and bad karma we engaged in due to them. Many of us hide behind the shroud of denial pretending everything is fine in our lives. But deep down, we know how much harm it has caused us. We may be fine and look normal to others without an ounce of despair on our faces, but inside we suffer from pains, fears, and anxieties caused by our dependence on someone or something.

We need to let go of denial and face the truth… the truth that we are not living a life of authenticity and happiness. We need to wake up and take absolute ownership of the truth that we have been engulfed by the darkness and have lost our way. We need to accept the truth that we have become blinded by our own misaligned actions. Whether we like it or not, extreme ownership is only the way to move forward.
