Home is love, love is home
I watched the Hindi film Main Vaapas Aaunga today, and apart from a few minuscule flaws, it was a fulfilling watch that evoked both wholesome feelings as well as heartbreaking sadness (especially in the last two acts). Plus, it was good to learn some important facts and hard-hitting truths from India’s history that very few people know.
So, a bittersweet experience overall that’ll transport you to the Partition era, while keeping you grounded in the timeless emotion of love.
Here are three key things I realized and took away from this movie:
- Being nomadic is a short-term strategy. (We all want to settle down sooner or later at some point.)
- Home is love; love is home.
- True love lasts forever.
