“You will falter, you will stumble, you will be humbled. But you must rise each time, owning and learning from your mistakes.” — Darren Hardy

Yesterday, my mentor Darren Hardy shared a letter that he wrote to his godson Jackson, who got promoted to a leadership position after excelling in his job as a salesperson in a software company. Jackson wanted some advice from Darren, so Darren handcrafted a letter for him; he wanted Jackson to have something tangible in hand that he could refer to repeatedly as he navigated the trials and tribulations of the software industry.

Darren was generous enough to read the contents of this letter in his mentoring session and share a copy of it later on. And to pay this kind act forward, I am sharing this letter with all of you too. It has some invaluable insights on leadership, things we all must remember from time to time. I know this letter will add incredible value to both your personal and professional life.

Here’s a copy of the letter for you. (Read it before it disappears.)

Excelsior!

PS: Here’s a journaling prompt for you for reflection - What stood out to me the most in that letter? What parts do I wish I had known earlier in my career as a leader?
